She was born May 4, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of George and Catherine (Lindeman) Smith.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Steve.

She is survived by two children, Stephen (Kate) Sweyko and Sharon (Bill) Riesner; five grandchildren, Billy (Cara) Riesner, Christine Riesner, Lena Sweyko , Ben Sweyko and Rebekah Sweyko; great-grandson Evan Riesner; and sister Annabelle Downey.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
